Head of Innovation Hub @ Electrolux
Lucia holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in Politecnico di Milano and an Executive Master in Technologies & Innovation Management in Bologna Business School. She started her professional experience in the Aerospace field and then moved to Home Appliances Business, in Whirpool Corporation and then in Electrolux Group. After having covered different managerial positions in R&D organization, in 2011 Lucia accepted the challenge to implement the open innovation model in Electrolux Group: she defined and deployed the open innovation strategy of the company, creating new alliances with external partners, in industrial, academic and financial networks. Now she is the Head of Innovation Hub of Electrolux Group, with the responsibility to drive 4 global units (i) Open Innovation, to reach external innovative non-conventional ecosystems, from startups to consolidated industries; (ii) Technology Garage, to assess applications of emerging technologies from different fields; (iii) Technology Liaisons, to activate public granted projects and collaborations with universities, enterprises and institutions; (iv) Innovation Academy, to coordinate a project-based program for university students, from internships to PhDs Innovation Hub has offices in Italy, China and US. In 2013 she received the “Alumni Polimi Award” of Politecnico di Milano. In 2017 she received “Merit & Talent” award of FEDERMANAGER in “Digital Innovation” category. In her TEDx Talk in 2015, she told the story about Electrolux Open Innovation team, born and grown like a startup inside the company.
Fabio holds an MBA by MIP and a Master degree in Electronic Engineering by Polytechnic of Milan. In 1999, he started his career in OHB-CGS as avionic engineer, developing electronics for International Space Station scientific payloads. In 2007, he moved to WHIRLPOOL working as site leader of the electronic R&D center in Wroclaw (Poland) and as global head of the development of refrigeration electronics. In 2013, he worked as R&D director in GEWISS, leading both the electronic design team and the home & building automation BU. Since 2016, back in WHIRLPOOL, he is the IoT PMO leader, driving a cross-functional team to deliver Connected Appliances in EMEA.
Communication Manager @ McKinsey & Co.
Enrico Sola is a Communications Expert with spikes in training and communication. He works as Communications Manager of McKinsey & Company. He rejoined McKinsey part-time in January 2004 (4 days a week) after he had already been working as Communication Specialist for McKinsey from 1995 to December 1999. When he left McKinsey at the end of 1999, Enrico worked for 4 years as Communications Manager for eDreams, an on line travel company launched by ex McKinsey consultants from the Italian and Spanish offices. In those 4 years before rejoining McKinsey, he also pursued another passion –teaching –and he started delivering training programs in written and oral communication for international consulting firms and major corporations. Today, Enrico delivers workshops and coaching sessions for McKinsey consultants from various offices (Italy, France, Scandinavia, Israel and Russia) and McKinsey Clients.
Born in 1973, Giovanni Tagliabue obtained his MoS in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and started his career in Edison SpA as a junior analyst in a technical unit. Now operating as Head of Business Innovation & Development, he worked previously as Director of Scenarios & Competitive Analysis and in the Business Development team, involved in market and feasibility studies, strategic planning, business development, asset valuation and M&A processes. Giovanni has over 18 years’ experience in the power and gas industry. His interest within the industry are strategy, innovation and new technologies.
